Arroz con Leche Recipe

Ingredients

4 cups water

1 cup rice

2 cinnamon sticks

350g evaporated milk

La lechera (condensed milk)

1 tablespoon Sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

3 cups of milk

 

Instructions:

Cook rice on medium heat with milk and cinnamon sticks for approximately 15 minutes until rice is tender. Remove excess water and cinnamon sticks.

Boil milk adding in gradually for 5 minutes. Stir in evaporated milk and condensed milk. Followed by sugar. Add in rice and simmer for 10 minutes until rice mixture has a pudding-like texture. Split mixture into small balls and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Leave in fridge for 1 hour minimum to cool down.
